I decided to root my  vega im-a810k so i could access all the features that are locked! The rooting procedure was really simple, you will not need any special information!  I have tested this procedure with the original ICS rom of the vega and works without problems! I cannot guarantee that this will work for you but most likely it will!

Step 1 

 

First of all you will need the usd driver for your operating system. If you are using Windows 8 os you could find the download link for the driver at a previous post at this blog . If you are using windows 7 you could find the driver from official vega webpage.  If you are using linux  you don’t need any drivers !

Step 2

Go to Settings -> System -> Developer Options  and enable the option “USB debugging”

Step 3

Download the following file :

Connect your phone with your pc and run the file “root_me.bat”

  7. My set A800s have a battery problem…..
    I have checked the battery in another sky vega set and it is working perfectly. Currently my mobile have an android version 4.0.4.
    If I root the set will it work??

      I’ve got a810k and I can’t send messages.
      I forgot how to enter the sender number in the settings.

      Would you all be so kind to teach me how to do it step by step?

    • Hello assasin!
      This is a method to root your stock rom, its not another rom. If you install this script you will have your 4.0 stock rom rooted so you could remove Sky pre-installed applications and much more if you want.

  12. Hi Buddy,

    Do you know how to Hard Reset this phone.
    I tried Vol-+Search buttopn + Power and its comes to recovery mode with a message to connect to cable.

    but i couldnt get any message on screen to hard reset or dont have any software to hard reset using computer..

  13. Yeah..I tried it now..and getting the message “S/W Upgrading” on screen.
    My concern is than to Hard Rest phone since i lost some of the system files, like default camera apps, etc and I think S/W upgrade will not be a solution for it.

    • ok i found it! press volume – ,search button,sky button and power. After that you will see a strange screen,press the power button and you will see android recovery ! You navigate with the volume buttons and you select anything with sky button!

    But Thats for recovery from the phone data~!!

    I tried to do hard reset successfully, in the case when the system ROM is cleaned.
    For this i had to use the vega website for data, since i could not find any upgrade software/manager like other Brands.

    Even though the website (http://www.pantechservice.co.kr/down/self/main.sky) is in korean but some lucky guess and i was fine. However, i had to use combination of Vol up + Search + power button; it shows the the screen with message “s/w upgrading” and after this via connecting through cable and use of the website, i successfully Hard Reset the phone.

  15. I just tried this on my a810k. It didn’t work. When it says ‘reboot to fastboot mode’, i disconnected the cable and rebooted to fastboot mode and connected it again. It did something and stopped at boot complete. It’s just hanging there now. What should I do? Please help!
